Q. All right, here with Gaby Lopez after her second round at the Kroger Queen City Championship. Bogey-free today. How was the course playing for you out there?
GABY LOPEZ: Yeah, very different from yesterday afternoon. I feel that the greens and the fairways can get very firm out here, so it's definitely a different play.
There was a hole where I hit an 8-iron and today I hit -- and yesterday I hit wedge. So I mean, it's definitely playing very different.
But, yeah, I love the course; I love the community out here.
Q. Really good front nine; four birdies and went on a long stretch of pars. What did you do to stay patient and then the birdie on 18?
GABY LOPEZ: Yeah, I mean, definitely the pin positions were way tougher than yesterday. I would say that you just had to be very disciplined with not short siding yourself and being very patient, because it's going to be really hard to leave yourself lots of opportunities on the back nine.
So, yeah, I tried to stay patient. Trying to hit the fairway on 18 and give myself a chance for birdie or eagle.
Q. What do you expect the course will look like heading into the weekend? Anticipate it getting longer or tougher?
GABY LOPEZ: Not necessarily longer because I feel that you can make it longer already with different tee boxes, not playing driver off the tee. And how firm the fairways are going to be, the ball is going to have a lot of roll.
So just staying on the fairway to get some spin, because the greens are getting firmer. Yeah, just kind of lag putting pretty steady. I think that could be good for the weekend.
Q. As you are up there near the top of the leaderboard heading into moving day, what are some of the goals of Saturday?
GABY LOPEZ: Just like today, you know, I've been kind of enjoying myself a little bit more on the golf course. Trying not to be too perfect. Trying not to be too strict with myself. Trying to play unperfect golf. It's tough when you all put so many hours into practice and to dedication, and, yeah, it's just trying to be a little bit happier out there. You know, kind of present the challenge how it comes, and try to confront it.
