Q. Fantastic round of golf out there today. It wasn't easy out there. Could you describe some of the toughness out there this afternoon?
ROSE ZHANG: Definitely. I mean, I think afternoon rounds in general play pretty difficult on poana greens, especially out here.
It got a little cooler. It was a little bit more wind and you really had to make sure that your yardages were right, but you were also committing to your lines on these greens.
So I mean, I am pretty satisfied how I was able to place the ball in certain areas and overall gave myself a pretty good round.
Q. We saw some good numbers coming in early. Does that give you something to shoot for tomorrow morning when you have those better conditions?
ROSE ZHANG: Yeah, I mean, I think it shows that the golf course, if you play it the way you play it, you are able to get opportunities.
Tomorrow is kind of just place myself in the right places. I'm not really thinking about it too much, but if I do have areas where I can go for things, I will try to capitalize on that.
The morning wave showed that you can do that out here.
Q. Coming up to almost a year of you being a professional. Can you just reflect on some things you found challenging or some things you found comfortable out here?
ROSE ZHANG: It's been an incredible journey thus far. I feel really blessed to be able to play this sport for a living and as a job. Sometimes there are ups and downs and I've realized that.
You know, being in college and playing amateur golf, you're kind of able to take breaks in between and you're able to stay fresh. When you're out here, every single week is just a grind.
I've embraced it but also learned that sometimes things don't go your way and all you have to do is kind of keep your head high and try to stay in the process a little bit more.
But the girls out here are so inspiring. Nelly and then everyone out here has been working really hard. So I'm really loving the environment.
