Q. All right, here with Hannah Green. Hannah, what a day. What a moving day in particular. As you walk off the 18th green how are you feeling?
HANNAH GREEN: I feel quite exhausted to be honest. It was quite an up and down day playing with Esther; didn't really have the best front nine and then we got it going on the back nine, so it was nice.
Hopefully tomorrow I can be a bit more consistent. Didn't hit many greens today and that's probably led to some of my bogeys. Hopefully I just play boring golf tomorrow and those putts go in.
Q. Did you say anything to yourself to refocus going into the back nine?
HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, I made a good par putt on 11. Yeah, I kind of didn't hit a great putt on 12 but holed a putt for eagle on 13, and that changed the momentum in the group.
Then I was able to hit it close coming in and then missed a short putt on 17, which is kind of annoying.
I felt like I hit it better than the score produced. It was just really tough to hole putts out there. Obviously familiar with being late on a Sunday, so hopefully that experience out here at Wilshire will help me tomorrow.
Q. You definitely probably have one of the most -- you're one of the players with the most experience playing so late on a Sunday, like you said, not only last year but the year before that as well.
HANNAH GREEN: Uh-huh.
Q. What do you draw on or think to going into a final day like tomorrow after you weathered the storm today?
HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, when Gracie was 12-under par after two round I didn't think anyone would really get to that number. Even now I think we're all at 7-under, and I'm kind of not surprised.
I felt like earlier in the week the greens were firmer and usually we had a little bit softer conditions.
I like that's if you 1-under par you're having a good day. Going to use that experience the last couple years, not get ahead of myself but focus on what I'm doing and not focus on whoever I'm playing with tomorrow.
Q. I asked Esther, but did you notice what the leaderboard was shaking out to be as you were coming down the stretch?
HANNAH GREEN: No, I had no idea. I do look at leaks. I'm not -- I don't like to avoid them. Every time I looked at them it was an advert so I couldn't see where I was sitting.
I don't know where I am now and what the girls made on the last.
Q. You'll be playing with Grace tomorrow.
HANNAH GREEN: Oh, really? Okay.
Q. What does that mean to you when you hear those words?
HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, no, that's a great pairing. We played a practice round earlier in the week and had good fun out there. Obviously we're still trying to both win so might be a little bit different.
It is what it is. It's golf. We're humans. We'll just see. Whoever plays the best, who knows, someone could shoot a really low score tomorrow. We'll see what happens.
Q. We talked about the that fact still staying in our own game and everything. What was that game plan going into a day like that when it's anybody's game but the lead was what it was?
HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, obviously saw some of the scores that people produced in the morning, 7-, 8-under. Some really great rounds.
I knew it would be trickier in the afternoon when it get a little bit bouncy, so I wanted to make sure that I was at least trying to shoot under par. When I was over par I was feeling like I was really behind the eight ball.
But, yeah, the moment switch on the back nine there made a big difference. Hopefully that putt, especially on 18, gives me some momentum into tomorrow as well.
Q. Walk me through the mindset on that putt, knowing that that could kind of stabilize what was today. What was going through your mind there?
HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, I knew it was a straight putt, but obviously depending on which way it wants to bounce. I wasn't really that aggressive with the putter today. If anything, I was a bit tedious because I didn't have many opportunities where I could be aggressive.
Yeah, probably a little bit firm and lucky to bounce in. But, yeah, makes a big difference going into tomorrow.
Q. How much do you draw from what happened last year as you head into tomorrow's round just for positive vibes and stuff?
HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, makes a big difference. Even with what happened in the last few holes for all of us today, even if you've got a three-shot lead it doesn't mean you're safe with 17 and 18 to play.
It's really nice I do have that experience and positive memories. Hopefully, yeah, I don't get too ahead of myself and think about that too much. Just keep playing every hole and not really think about the end result, yeah.
