AKIE IWAI: It was fun, so I give many birdie chances today, so I made a lot birdie, yeah.
Q. And then you had the great week over in Arizona at Ford; then followed that up with another great round this week. What about your game is working so well for you right now?
AKIE IWAI: I don't know. I don't know, but actually last week I played in Japan, so I would rather getting good shot last week, so today I shot well. I did shot well, especially iron.
Yeah, yes. (Laughter.)
Q. Wondering obviously what the weather was like for you. I saw you kept putting your jacket on and off. Were you more prepared for sun?
AKIE IWAI: Yes, I hot, but hitting finish hole I cold again, yeah. I must take on, yeah. Yes.
Q. What has the Tour life been like, the LPGA Tour, how have you adapted?
AKIE IWAI? It's fine. (Through translation - No microphone.)
Q. You said today was fun. Do you always have fun on the golf course, or is there something special about playing here?
AKIE IWAI: Every time, every week, yeah. I play to have fun every week.
Q. What is it that you enjoy so much about being out there and competing?

Q. How was your experience today playing with the two other rookies in your group?

Q. What was your favorite thing about the round today? Was there anything on the course that was really exciting to you or that you liked at all?
AKIE IWAI: Yeah, exciting. No. 18 holes I made birdie, so, yeah. Yeah.
Q. Since you're in Los Angeles I have to ask if you're a Shohei Ohtani fan and if you are, what you like about him and if you got to a Dodger game earlier this week?
AKIE IWAI: Of course, yeah. Of course. Actually, we went to Los Angeles Dodgers game on Monday, yeah. Exciting. It was fun, so I watched homerun. Yeah, Shohei Ohtani.
