Q. All right, pleased to be joined by Frida Kinhult today after her first round at El Caballero. Bogey-free, eight birdies. Just tell me about the round today.
FRIDA KINHULT: Yeah, no, I guess it was a smooth ride. Saved maybe two, three pars from, I don't know, six, nine footers. Other than that it was pretty -- yeah, golf felt easy for once, so hopefully we'll enjoy that ride the next few days as well.
No, it was fun. It was a good round.
Q. How important was putting for you today? I see you had only 24 putts which was pretty low.
FRIDA KINHULT: Yeah, no, the putter definitely worked today. Maybe I need to sleep with it tonight to make sure it works for the next few days.
Yeah, it was good to see. I feel like lately I've been playing quite well but not really been scoring. It's been close and I feel like the misses have been closer to the hole, so I've just kind of trusted the process, and I think today was fun to see a few putts drop.
Yeah, we'll keep it up.
Q. Has the putter been a missing piece for you or what was it that came together today?
FRIDA KINHULT: Honestly I've been lost off the tee a bit in the past, so that's been what's been costing me some shots lately.
But I guess putting is one of the things that goes up and down day by day a bit. Overall been trending this year, but as I said earlier it's been maybe missing but closer, so I've just kept working on the same things and trust the process and today showed good results with that.
I'm happy with that.
Q. Why do you think it was easy today?
FRIDA KINHULT: I don't know. I missed like a four-footer on the first hole and I was like, not one of them days today. But then dropped a few good ones the next couple holes after that. Just trusted the lines, rolled some good speed, yeah, few managed to drop.
Q. Some of the players use words like tricky, funky, demanding. How would you describe the course?
FRIDA KINHULT: I think the greens and around the greens are pretty funky. It's a lot of like different top tiers and stuff and they're undulated.
But if you hit it in the right spots like some of the pins were in a bowl, you can definitely use some of the slope as well to your advantage.
But when you're in the wrong spot, like some interesting short game shots for sure. Some like, I don't know, putts that were 30, 40 feet can get pretty funny, like three, four different breaks on the way to the hole.
Yeah, so hopefully we manage to stay close to the pin tomorrow as well.
Q. Did you see Madelene's ace today?
FRIDA KINHULT: I saw it right before I guess I was going to warm up and she finished. I saw her coach and he said it was a pure golf shot as well, which makes it better. Good to see that.
