Q. We saw you on the first tee talking to Kathryn and you guys were laughing a lot. Can you just talk a little bit about how your round was with her today?
BAILEY TARDY: Yeah, you know, I love playing with the juniors out here. I think we're pretty much an inspiration for them. And she's right behind you right now. (Laughter.)
No, it was super fun and it's an honor to be an inspiration to them and for us to be someone for them to look up to.
Q. And Bailey, you are a big AJGA alumni. Growing up, I watched you play a lot. Can you kind of share your favorite memory from playing AJGA tournaments?
BAILEY TARDY: I think I was talking to Kathryn today on the golf course about Wyndham Cup. I think that or Thunderbird, those two were your highlights of your junior career. I just remember having the best time at those two events.
Q. What advice to you have for AJGA juniors at an event like this?
BAILEY TARDY: Enjoy it. Soak it all in. This is a top-notch LPGA event for us, and so for them to be able to tag along is so cool.
Yeah, just kind of pick all the LPGA girls' brains. Kind of figure out what made them turn pro, how they like it out here, and kind of what do they need to do to maybe be at this level and compete at this level.
I think this is an incredible opportunity for them.
Q. And last question: How does a tournament like Mizuho change the game for women's amateur golf?
BAILEY TARDY: Oh, man, it's incredible. Just to have Michelle Wie behind this event, is and including the AJGA juniors in here, it's just such a memorable experience four them and a great golf course and a great golf tournament for them to compete at.
