Q. All right, your first LPGA Tour event.
DANLIN CAI: Yeah.
Q. How are you feeling after day one?
DANLIN CAI: So exciting, and, you know, my heart beat always on the tee shot, but I think it's good for me to performance on the course.
Q. How much have you been looking forward to this event?
DANLIN CAI: Maybe four years, because when I was teenager before I turn to pro 2019 I got a card can play the Blue Bay in 2020, but because the COVID I just -- yeah, you know, what a pity.
And the first time I can play the LPGA just push off four years later.
Q. Did you you have nerves on the first tee?
DANLIN CAI: Yeah, of course. I told you heart beat always high line, yeah.
Q. What was working so well? What were some highlights for you?
DANLIN CAI: I think it must be putting, especially putting, yeah, because the first and second hole I putting a little bit long shot, maybe seven yards and eight yards, yeah, two-putt, and I get two birdies.
And then the next three birdies is near the hole.
Q. How well do you know other Chinese players on the LPGA Tour?
DANLIN CAI: You mean...
Q. Like Ronni?
DANLIN CAI: Yeah, because we played teenager time together. Yeah, Ruoning she play so really these few years after she played on the LPGA, yeah.
The same age, yeah. Ruoning, you know, you play with them when you was teenager and they just your friend. And then one day they come so high, just become everyone as idol.
Q. Is the LPGA Tour a dream of yours?
DANLIN CAI: Yeah, because actually this year I just try to get qualified of the JLPGA, and I just play on -- I want to play the JLPGA actually more than the LPGA.
I think I will try after this year, yeah.
Q. What do you take away from a day like this as you head into the second round tomorrow?
DANLIN CAI: Second round, maybe I just keep calm and I want my ball just always on the fairway, always on the green. That's fine. And no three-putts. That's fine.
