Q. All right, Yu, another great day here at the bike LPGA Shanghai. Kind of said it yesterday, a little bit of emotion being able to play so well in front of your home country fans. To be able to put together two rounds like this, how does it feel?
YU LIU: Oh, it feels really good. But to be honest, I feel like today I was able to just sort of carry the momentum from yesterday. The nerves settled starting from yesterday; today is more about enjoying playing with two of my good friends and in front of my home crowd, yeah.
Q. Walk us through the game plan going into today, and when did you kind of feel the momentum kick up for you in the second round?
YU LIU: To be honest, pretty low expectations coming in because I'm not good at playing in the rain, so I knew the forecast was pretty much going to rain all throughout the round, which it did.
So I just feel like -- my goal today was just to get through the round without making too much damage. I feel like I did a pretty good job.
Q. What were some of the most memorable moments out there? What birdies stand out the most?
YU LIU: I would say probably No. 9, because No. 8 I was -- like my putts weren't really falling on the front nine. No. 8 I decided to be a little more aggressive and ended up three-putting.
So I feel like No. 9 was really a good bounceback from that.
Q. All the work that you have been putting in lately has led to this tournament. Since the Asian Games as well. How comfortable do you feel in your game after these last two days near Shanghai?
YU LIU: To be honest, not really. I feel like with golf, it's just very -- it's a game that requires a lot of like constant focus. It can bite you pretty hard if you get too relaxed on things.
I just feel like, yeah, I'm just going to keep my head down and see where I can go.
Q. What does it mean to see your name up there in contention towards the top of the leaderboard?
YU LIU: It's definitely a confidence booster knowing that I'm capable of this, because to be honest, a year ago today I wasn't -- there was a lot of doubts on myself, like whether I'm ever going to be able to be in contention and winning a tournament, winning out here.
So, yeah, to be where I am today definitely really happy about the progress that I've made.
