Q. Excellent opening round, Grace, 7-under par 65. You were going along very nicely, 3-under par, before a nice two, two stretch on 14, 15 there.
GRACE KIM: Yeah, obviously didn't realize the tee was bumped forward on that hole, but, yeah, made sure I made most out of it. Hit a little putt. I think it hit the upslope and came back down, so I definitely took all my chances with that one, and then, yeah, nice one after that.
Q. How challenging has it been with the heat and humidity out here, especially considering it was so chilly last week in Korea?
GRACE KIM: Yeah, it's definitely a big change with climate, but I am making sure I'm staying hydrated. I've got the sun brelly up, so definitely having that all throughout the round and throughout the week.
Q. Your rookie season on the LPGA Tour; winner earlier this year at the LOTTE Championship in Hawai'i. 28 on the Race to the CME Globe. How would you sum up the first year out?
GRACE KIM: It's definitely a lot, I guess more than I expected. My only goal last year was to keep my card, and I think I'm definitely ahead of that, so I'm glad.
