Q. All right, I'm here with Sarah Schmelzel after the first round of the Blue Bay LPGA. Solid round of 6-under today. How do you feel about your game today?
SARAH SCHMELZEL: It was good. I didn't really make many mistakes in terms of shots into the greens. Just played to a lot of the fat areas of the greens, gave myself some really easy two-putts, and then hit a few wedges close and rolled in a long one on 10.
So overall it was fairly easy. Just managed it really well.
Q. Bogey-free out there. Any holes you can remember that you came close to getting one?
SARAH SCHMELZEL: Yeah, for sure. I had to I guess get up-and-down on the last three holes. I wasn't in terrible spots but just off the green.
Then there was another one on my front nine. No, sorry. Where was it? I think it was 4. I don't know. Somewhere early when I made the turn. They were more on my back nine when the wind picked up a little bit. It was nice to just keep it going, keep the day going.
Q. And you played really well last week.
SARAH SCHMELZEL: Thank you.
Q. What's going really with your game right now?
SARAH SCHMELZEL: I'm starting to roll it better, like we talked about last week. Just a lot of work on that this off-season, so it's nice to see putts finally roll in right now.
I think in the past I really tried to be perfect in order to play well, and right now just trying to manage what I have and play well with that.
Q. Anything you did Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday to maintain some of that play?
SARAH SCHMELZEL: I just did kind of the same stuff I did last week. Didn't really want to change anything up. Just worked on some of the swing stuff I've been working on and went through my putting drills and played my practice round and tried to keep everything the same.
