Q. All right, I'm here with Lydia Ko after her third round at Blue Bay LPGA. At the top of the leaderboard again today with another eagle. Just talk about your round and how you felt.
LYDIA KO: Yeah, I played really well on the front nine again like I did yesterday. Not often that you're 3-under through three two days straight. To be able to make a good pitch, chip-in eagle on 3 was definitely a good momentum booster.
Yeah, I played really solid. Didn't put myself in that many odd places, and I feel like you can do that quite easily around here. Hopefully more of that tomorrow.
Q. On the brink of your 21st win, what does that mean to you as well, thinking back on your career?
LYDIA KO: Yeah, after last year I wasn't really sure how this year was going to go.
To be able to win with Jason in the last event in 2023 was a good bit of confidence booster because I had lost a lot of it during the season.
To be able to win the first event on the schedule, especially at my home club, was I think it meant a lot.
I was able to play well; close one in Bradenton. Still a lot of golf to be played, and it seems like someone shoots a really low score at least one of the rounds. We all know the pin positions dictate the scores, so I just got to stay patient and keep giving myself good looks and see where that puts me.
Q. You spent a lot of time signing autographs the past few days. What has it been like to have all these fans out here supporting you?
LYDIA KO: Yeah, there has been a lot of people, which has surprised me. I think there are more people here than in the previous years we've been. Let's be honest, this is quite a secluded area, so if it wasn't that many people it wouldn't have surprised us.
For especially a lot of kids to come out it's really cool and it's great to hear the roars when we're playing well.
Q. You have many fans here. Do you want to say something to them?
LYDIA KO: Yeah, I'm very thankful for your support. Few of them have made my sign so it means a lot. I get a lot of power from that.
