Q. Here with Auston Kim after her second round at the Blue Bay LPGA. More up-and-down than yesterday but still firmly in contention. Just take us through the round.
AUSTON KIM: What was the question? I didn't hear you.
Q. Take us through the round today.
AUSTON KIM: Yeah, like you said, it was pretty up-and-down. I started 2-over through three I'm pretty sure. I still made a really good par save on the first hole. Made a couple mistakes on the front nine but I was hanging in there.
Again, just kept the faith. Stayed patient out there.
Q. Keeping that faith and hanging in there as you're saying, is that a product of the experience you've had from your rookie year or where does that come from?
AUSTON KIM: Yeah, I think a little bit more experience; feeling a bit more comfortable; trusting in the work I'm putting in. Every round that I play I always have a chance, so just staying patient with what I got. I knew that I was making mistakes but I also knew there would be chances in the future. Just waiting for those to happen.
Q. What are some of the biggest takeaways from the first two rounds?
AUSTON KIM: I'm making plenty of birdies. Just being able to minimize the mistakes and unforced errors.
But playing good golf. I know that it can be a lot better. I'm really proud of myself for hanging in there today with how tough it was.
