Q. All right, I'm here with Yealimi Noh after her first round at the FM Championship. First impressions of the golf course after this first round?
YEALIMI NOH: Well, the course is in incredible shape. I only got to play it once. I played nine on Tuesday and nine yesterday.
But the course is so much fun. Every hole is different and it's really firming up throughout the week. Already in the last few days. It's been nice.
Q. Yeah, looks like it's playing really tricky out there. I think this is one the lowest leads we've had since the U.S. Open. Does it feel really difficult out there?
YEALIMI NOH: I think just there are a lot of spots you can be in on the course where it can get tricky. Then the greens are just really firm. Even on Tuesday it wasn't that firm, but the pins were tough today. Few tough pins where the ball would just bounce off the green even after a good shot, so I think that's what makes it pretty tough.
Q. How would you compare the front and the back nine?
YEALIMI NOH: I mean, they're both equally challenging. I think a few par-5s, like 7 being up today, helped a lot. Few par-5s where I can get on in two so that helps.
But, yeah, the course just has a lot of character to it.
Q. What was the key to your success out there today?
YEALIMI NOH: I putted really well on the back nine, on my back nine, which was the front nine. Yeah, I was struggling with my putting for the last two weeks over in Scotland so really nice to get the ball rolling today.
Just hit a lot of fairways.
Q. Speaking of playing over in Scotland, what made you want to come to this tournament, the FM Championship, even after two weeks of travel in Europe?
YEALIMI NOH: Yeah, I mean, it's the first time they're host thing event and already it's one the best. Obviously the purse is great, but the hospitality has been amazing.
Just the hotel being provided and a dinner tonight so it's been really nice. I was looking forward to it.
