Q. Here with Ruixin after her final round at the FM Championship . Just talk about your amazing play today, opening up with seven birdies is quite the start.
RUIXIN LIU: This week has been very, like -- I can't believe it's true because starting with a 9 off the bat with the tournament, I don't really even think I can make the cut.
So I'm very grateful to even have a tee time on Saturday, and to have the best score of my career two times in a row is just amazing.
But starting off the gate today, me and Haeran just kept birdieing. It doesn't really feel like I'm playing very well because she's hitting a lot of birdies, as well.
Q. Talk about playing with her today, what it was like to battle back and forth.
RUIXIN LIU: Yeah, we're good friends, so we talk a lot. So it was a very happy group. But we keep each other very competitive today, so I really enjoyed it.
Q. (No microphone.)
RUIXIN LIU: I mean, I try to look at the scoreboard as much as I can, so I kind of know what's going on with Jeeno back there. She played pretty decent, very good today.
I know I have to birdie the last hole to even have a chance. That's why I go with it, with my 3-wood on the second shot. I missed it. I missed on the face. But that's all I can do is just keep trying.
Q. To wake up at 7:30 (indiscernible)?
RUIXIN LIU: I had McDonald's, actually. I had McDonald's yesterday, and I was like, oh, I had my lowest round ever, so I'm going to eat the same thing again today.
Q. What did you have there?
RUIXIN LIU: McMuffin.
Q. I'm assuming that was your dad?
RUIXIN LIU: Yeah, that was my dad.
Q. He was walking the whole course with you and he'd get excited when you'd hit a good shot. What is that relationship like having him here?
RUIXIN LIU: Well, my dad has been caddying for me for a long time, like a few years, so he knows me better than I know myself. For him to witness the last few days, I feel very happy that he's here just to see that.
I finally see some low score that I'm able to produce, so I'm glad that he's here with me.
Q. What's his name?
RUIXIN LIU: Zuoyi. He goes by David.
Q. Your season debut, you were seventh; you won on the Epson Tour and then seeing his results, what has this year been like for you, just the journey as a whole?
RUIXIN LIU: Well, I was struggling a lot with my allergies the last few years and Blue Bay was my first tournament of the year, which is already March. So I started very late because I was treating my allergies at home.
To be able to play with less pain and less struggle physically, it feels amazing. Then I see some result coming in, and I'm really looking forward to keep going because it's a three-year process. I already see great results, and I can't wait to see what's next.
Q. What's next for you?
RUIXIN LIU: Cincinnati.
Q. So you have about two weeks' break; what's your plan for those two weeks?
RUIXIN LIU: I'm just going to chill in Orlando. Hopefully the weather is cooler. It was very hot before I left.
