THE MODERATOR: Welcome our very first FM Championship winner, Haeran Ryu. Really great round today. I just want you to talk through the emotions, the day, and what it felt like to hoist your second LPGA Tour trophy.
HAERAN RYU: Second win is too hard for me because this year I got many chances before, but I miss it, a couple times before.
But today, I don't want to miss again. I was so nervous at the playoff, but maybe Jin Young Ko is same as me.
I think just thank for God, and yeah. I can't believe it here now. Yeah, just for thank for God.
Q. Obviously yesterday's round was not what you wanted or expected. How did you just mentally recover from that to come into today and be able to win?
HAERAN RYU: Yeah, it's too hard, and it's too angry after the round.
But my caddie and my other teammates said to me, just for today it's bad, and tomorrow it all comes through. Just trust yourself. Yesterday after the round and practicing for my shots and my putter, so just recover for everything for the problems. So today is really good at the start. I made some amazing.
Q. You mentioned you were nervous during the playoff. When Ko's shot rolled off the side, what were your emotions like to stay in the moment?
HAERAN RYU: I just think about it as just play my golf. I don't want to see Jin Young's play, so I just think about it just for my golf. That's good for the finish, yeah.
Q. Did the delay kind of impact how you went about going into the final holes there?
HAERAN RYU: Maybe not because I just left one and a half holes. It's not a problem for me today, yeah.
Q. Two years on Tour and two wins. How proud are you of yourself?
HAERAN RYU: Really happy because first win is so hard but second is hard again ^ Check. But I did it, so yeah.
In the second round I had 10-under, but in the third round I had 6-over par. But again 8-under for the final round. I mean, that is the goal. Every day is not bad and not too good. Just trust me -- I'm learning for the golf here on the LPGA and every stuff and volunteering and my family and my staff. Everybody is just thankful.
Q. Are you hoping your next win comes a little easier?
HAERAN RYU: I hope so. But these days my shot is not bad, and my putter, I need to more work hard. But it's better than last year. I hope so one more win after again.
Q. You're the inaugural champion. First time at this tournament you're the winner. What does it mean to be the first name on this trophy at this event?
HAERAN RYU: Wow, I'm so proud of myself, and it's amazing. Yeah, just thanks for the FM and for TPC Boston.
Q. After Canada, I remember talking to you after your round in Canada. I know you were sad, right?
HAERAN RYU: Yeah.
Q. You've been so close; do you feel relieved that you have been so close and now you've got the win?
HAERAN RYU: After Canada I'm so angry after the round and she want an interview from me but I don't want that because I felt really sad and angry and I don't want to talk anything for the media. Yeah, after Canada I go back to Korea and work hard and my training for my workout and practice.
Again, I came back to LPGA Tour, and I did it.
