Quick Quotes

Q. Got the FSU connection going?

DANIEL BERGER: Yeah, excited. We played in The Presidents Cup together and it's been a long wait to get going on Friday morning but we are excited to tee off.

Q. What can you bring out of each other?

DANIEL BERGER: We bring a little different game style. I'm a little bit more methodical and he's a little bit more bomb-and-gauge, but I think when you play the two pairings together, I think we play well off each other. In alternate-shot, it's really about how you mesh with your partner. Together we're a good team.

Q. What did you think of the pairing you drew?

DANIEL BERGER: I don't think it really matters. We have to go out and play, and whoever it was, whether it was their strongest team or whatever, we have to play good golf.

BROOKS KOEPKA: I played with Daniel in The Presidents Cup and I love playing with him. I think it will be fun. Hopefully go out and do what we are supposed to do.

Q. What did you do to get each other going out there?

BROOKS KOEPKA: We've been getting each other going for like days. This isn't anything new to us.

Q. How about who you're playing, the two English guys, Lee, playing in his 11th Ryder Cup and Matt, what are your thoughts on your opponents?

BROOKS KOEPKA: Yeah, Lee's played a whole bunch of these. Got a lot of experience. Matt, I don't think he played much last time. Both get along really well and work with Pete Cowen. They are going to be tough and they have got good short games. They are not going to make too many mistakes.

Q. How important to get off to a good start on home soil?

BROOKS KOEPKA: Better than getting off to a bad start.
