Q. Bryson, you happy with the round out there today?
BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: I just didn't go low like I wanted to, unfortunately.
Still striking it pretty well. Couple errant shots here and there. 1-over on 15, even par on 2, and didn't make birdie today on 9.
Just feel like that would escalate me up to the top of the leaderboard if I do those things right. It's just a little off still.
But hopefully when everything comes together I can win by a lot.
Q. Do you feel like if everything came together tomorrow you're in at least an okay position you think to make a run?
BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: Yeah, it's going to take 7- or 8-under for sure tomorrow, which can happen out here. You just got to execute shots and be confident and make some good putts.
Greens are a little bumpy this year. It is what it is. Everybody has to play on them. It's whoever makes the most putts. I just got to read them better and roll it better.
Q. We talked a little bit yesterday about the things you found last week in the swing and also a little bit this week.
BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: Uh-huh.
Q. With some of the swing things, is it just a little bit off or a little bit bigger...
BRYSON DECHAMBEAU: Yeah, they're probably -- I would say they were bigger. The past three, four years -- there was a moment in time like in 2018 where I hit to the best in my life. Early 2018, around the Waste Management time.
I just felt like I was unstoppable with the golf swing and could hit any shot, control it with the most control I've ever had in my entire life.
I've been searching to find that ever since. It's slowly getting back to that point. Man, I wish I had that because I feel like I could get to No. 1 in the world quickly I had that.
