Garrick Higgo

Press Conference

THE MODERATOR: Garrick, if you could, just another great round today here at the John Deere. Just take us through it.

GARRICK HIGGO: Well, I haven't really looked at my stats, but I hit it good again. Didn't finish the way I would have liked, but it was still a great day. Yeah, solid all-around, but driving is the strength.

THE MODERATOR: Just talk about, is that something that you've been working on lately?

GARRICK HIGGO: I guess last year I did everything poor, but yeah, I don't know. It's just lately it's been -- it's certainly been the best part of my game throughout the year, but now it's kind of more consistent.

Q. It's tough to maintain such consistent play across four rounds. You've had two really good rounds in the book. How do you translate that momentum to the weekend?

GARRICK HIGGO: I think there's still a low one in there. I kind of didn't take it too deep, but it's been really solid. Hopefully I can make a few more putts tomorrow and take it even deeper.

Q. So obviously winning the Palmetto Championship, I know there was kind of a lull in between there. How did you mentally kind of stay strong and keep working at things even maybe if you weren't getting the results you wanted?

GARRICK HIGGO: Yeah, there was a pretty big lull (laughing). I guess it's just a learning curve. Kind of came through out of nowhere in a way.

So I've had to do a lot of learning, but I think I know what I need to do to play well, so yeah.
