Q. Max, great round; 16 points today. Talk us through your round. What was working for you?
MAX McGREEVY: Yeah, just the same as yesterday, just plotting along, getting a lot of good looks. Got some to go early today which just freed me up and allowed me to be a little bit more aggressive I think in some spots.
Luckily was able to get a couple putts to roll in today, unlike that happened yesterday. Yeah, I think the ball just kept rolling. You feel like things are just continuously going your way when things like that happen.
It was a nice freeing round.
Q. Big eagle on 3. Talk us through that hole.
MAX McGREEVY: Yeah, hit a good drive. Actually was in between clubs and was sitting down a little bit. Kind of squeezed out a little 4-iron and luckily stayed on the back part of the green. Kevin Roy gave me a nice read right before I hit mine and I rolled mine in, so thanks for that, Kevin.
Q. What were the clubs you were in between?
MAX McGREEVY: 4- and 5-iron.
Q. In this format do you feel like you have to be a little bit more aggressive? Does that free you up?
MAX McGREEVY: Yeah, definitely. Two holes later I hit it in the water. If it was a normal tournament I don't think I would have tried to hit it out of the water, but knowing you can only lose three points, hopefully you're not doing that, it kind of gives you a freeing thought of maybe a couple different shots that you would play a little bit differently.
For me, as I'm sure it is with everybody else, the more free that you can be the better you feel like you're going to play. Yeah, luckily was able to kind of have that free feeling today.
Q. You're in a great spot right now. Last two times here, missed the cut. Was there a different approach this year or is the game in a better spot?
MAX McGREEVY: Just feel like I was a little bit more relaxed this week. Came over from Scotland so I actually didn't get here until Tuesday midday. You know, just kind of having nice dinners at the house and going to the lake every single night. Not that I didn't expect myself to play well, I'm just trying to enjoy myself and hopefully the good golf follows, and feels like it has so far this week.
Q. You mentioned staying with Kevin and Trevor. What's that been like? How relaxed is it?
MAX McGREEVY: Yeah, I luckily just broke into their friend group allowing me to move into their houses with them. No, it's a ton of fun. I mean, whenever you get the chance to just loosen up after the round for a couple hours it's a ton of fun. We're cooking a lot of good dinners. Kevin's Buddy Austin is cooking great food. So, yeah, just being able to talk through some things golf-wise or life-wise is just kind of fun.
