Quick Quotes

Q. Sebastian, you held off a late surge from the world No. 1 golfer in Scottie Scheffler. How did you do it?

SEBASTIAN MUNOZ: It was tough. I had to really focus. Probably one of the best things I ever achieved in my life. Playing this week, holding off him two times this week. It took everything. I threw everything at him, and luckily we got a win.

Q. A crucial point for your team as well. Your first Presidents Cup experience. What will you remember most about this week?

SEBASTIAN MUNOZ: The bonding. The team. The camaraderie. It's still an awesome week. I'm kind of sad that it's almost finishing, but it's been an amazing week.

Q. Sebastian, wow, what a day. You had a stretch there where you were piling up the birdies, an eagle as well, the hole-out, the 11th, which tied the hole, really. Back and forth with the No. 1 player in the world, and you defeat him.

SEBASTIAN MUNOZ: Yeah, amazing. Words can't describe the way I felt today, I felt this week, I felt playing for the shield. It's been an awesome week. Kind of speechless.

Q. I wanted to ask you about the experience of the week because you had some existing friendships, but obviously you've built some for a lifetime. Tell me about the resolve of this international team this week against great odds.

SEBASTIAN MUNOZ: Yeah, you know. We knew what we were facing. There's still a chance. It's going to be tough, but I think we are a group of random PGA TOUR guys, almost, you know, got together, started believing under one symbol. You know, we had great guiding under Trevor and the co-captains, and it just took that little belief, a little trust, and we can do great things.

Q. Congratulations on the victory.

SEBASTIAN MUNOZ: Thank you. Appreciate it.
