Q. Vince, pair of 67s to start. How would you compare those two rounds?
VINCE WHALEY: Very different rounds. One was very solid, the other one was mostly just a good putter. Yeah, try to combine them on the weekend, but a little different.
Q. You've had some pretty solid performances here. You haven't missed a cut in all the times you've played, seven or eight times. What is it about this place that you like?
VINCE WHALEY: I honestly love this place. It's that old school, tight golf course with not a ton of trouble. You just plod it around and keep it in front of you, and you can play well. It's some of the best greens we play on all year. It's just a great event.
Q. You're just outside that 100 mark coming in here on the FedEx standings. How would you assess your season so far? A couple of top 10s, but overall how would you assess it?
VINCE WHALEY: It's been pretty solid golf, but nothing special the whole year. I've made a bunch of cuts and feel like I've played good the last six months. It's getting harder and harder out here, and you need those big finishes, and I don't feel like I've had that.
Q. What do you feel you need to do to turn that around a bit?
VINCE WHALEY: I don't know. That's what I've been trying to figure out. Just keep plugging along, and hopefully at some point it happens, but I'm trying to get it figured out too.
Q. Has the feel of this time of year changed at all with the line going from 125 to 100?
VINCE WHALEY: Yeah, for sure, but I'm used to this. I like to live right on the number every year. So I get very comfortable here.
Q. Do you like knowing exactly where you are going into a round?
VINCE WHALEY: I mean, not -- I mean, yes and no. There's just so much going on, it doesn't really matter knowing exactly where you're at. You obviously have to have some idea.
Q. What was the highlight for you today?
VINCE WHALEY: Some putt, some putt on the front nine, like five par putts probably, one of those.
