Q. Off to a good start through seven holes, just piling up the birdies. What led to the hot start?
KELLY KRAFT: I just kind of was hitting it in there good and I almost made two hole-in-ones early. I hit it to about two inches on, what is that, 4 or 5.
And then 7 I almost one-hopped it in.
So I had a couple easy short putts and rolled in a long one and just the putter was just kind of working today.
Q. Scared it on 7. I didn't pick up until 6, but that was very close on 7 from our perspective.
Big putt at 12 after a great iron shot. That was an aggressive play off the tee. And, in a way, a big 6-footer on 13. You don't want to make doubles out here and that bogey is huge.
KELLY KRAFT: Yeah, I hit a good drive and just kind of got a bad kick, ended up in the first cut. And I should have just been a little bit more aggressive with it, the ball was sitting down and it just kind of upshot on me and plugged in that bunker. I had a tough next putt, but that was -- you know, I made a bogey but it was kind of a momentum putt too, you don't want to make a double after the start that I had. So bogeys didn't hurt me and seven birdie did me some good.
Q. Your last birdie, how big is that just to feel a little better coming into Saturday, coming off the dropped shot on 17. Does it taste better?
KELLY KRAFT: Oh, it definitely tastes better. Birdieing the last hole at Pebble is always fun. It's kind of nerve wracking sitting back on that tee with the left-to-right wind, for me at least, it's not a great wind to me, but you just kind of have to commit to hitting a good one down the left side and let the wind bring it back, and I did that. After that you don't have very long in, so fortunate enough to get out of there with a birdie and it makes dinner taste a little better.
