Quick Quotes

Q. Back-to-back rounds bogey-free, 6-under for the day. How are you feeling?

JOEL DAHMEN: Bogey-free is neat, especially at Spyglass. I don't go bogey-free very often because something goes awry somewhere along the way, but two back-to-back days is great. Obviously I have no idea where I'm at in the golf tournament, apparently I'm doing something good somewhere, so that's good. Yeah, I was just trying to play solid golf. I obviously had one tough par save. Otherwise pretty simple. Kept the ball in the fairway, put it on the green and made a couple putts.

Q. Any from any of the six birdies any stand out to you, any highlight?

JOEL DAHMEN: Yeah, kind of probably the last one on 7. I drove it in the bunker and had to lay up and typically you can get there in two, and I had 170 yards in for a third shot. So to get an 8-iron back to that pin and actually make the 15-footer was really nice, kind of a bonus at the end of the day. When typically you can kind of steal one there I had to work kind of harder for that one. So it was nice.

Q. Is it a relief that you're done with Spyglass and heading back to Pebble?

JOEL DAHMEN: I mean, Pebble's my favorite golf course in the world, it's my favorite place, I love that. But my record here at Spy is pretty darn good. I think it's like fifth time playing. So it's pretty darn good at Spy.

Q. Is it kind of an advantage being comfortable with Spy when usually that plays to be the more difficult?

JOEL DAHMEN: Yeah, I think so. At the other two courses you kind of have to make some birdie if the weather's good and the weather's been perfect this week. I don't know I've ever really shot like a low one at Pebble before, I've got it a couple under, but tomorrow I think I'm good going to need a low one and, I mean, you dream about shooting a low one on Pebble, it's a place that I've always, it was my, like everyone talks about Augusta and Pebble is my Augusta. It's my special place, it's my happy place. Especially when the sun is shining. So to have a chance tomorrow I'm super excited.

Q. You said go low, is there any specific number you think tomorrow?

JOEL DAHMEN: I have no idea what the lead is, but my amateur partner actually played super well, we had a really good ham and egg, so I believe we're close to the top of that. So it's kind of fun to like worry about trying to help him out too or kind of, so that's a good way it take your mind off things. But for a number tomorrow, I don't know. Whatever it takes to win. So lower, one lower than anyone else.

Q. As you said you hadn't seen the leaderboard much, but Seamus putting up numbers and maybe not so much going as low as the past two rounds.

JOEL DAHMEN: Yeah, it's super hard to do it for four days in a row, you're going to have one average day and so I figured if I could -- my average day was hopefully round one and I can put another one together tomorrow.

Q. Like you said favorite course, but does it play different going into a weekend final day towards the top of the leaderboard at Pebble, different atmosphere on a Sunday?

JOEL DAHMEN: Yeah, it will be a different atmosphere but that's why we play. We play to put ourself in that position. That's why we practice is to have that chance on 18, for me at especially Pebble. So I'm looking forward to it and hopefully I get there.
