Q. Very impressive round today. What was going right for you?
HANK LEBIODA: Felt like everything, to be honest with you. No, hit a lot of great iron shots. I made the putts when I was close. It was just a nice day. It was a really nice day.
Q. Let's talk about that birdie streak you had going. Did you feel like something was working? Were you really on a roll where you see the hole bigger? What's going on through that?
HANK LEBIODA: For probably the last couple weeks or so I felt like my putting had really turned a corner. Even though I may not have shown the results. But I felt more confident standing over the ball. I liked what I was looking at visually standing over it. I knew it was just a matter of time. So today fortunately it was one of the days where quite a few of 'em did go in. Not every day is like that. I was glad I was able to take advantage of it today.
Q. You played this event several times before, but great to get off to a start like this. Overall with the three different courses what is a player's strategy in trying to contend in this event?
HANK LEBIODA: Rest. Make sure you have enough rest. Make sure you're ready to go each and every morning when you do tee off. We played, this would be eight courses in three weeks for us. Three courses in Palm Springs, two last week in San Diego and three this week. So the best thing you can do is take care of yourself, relax and make sure that you're good to go.
Q. You're just going to rest tonight? Any dinner spots that you like to go to?
HANK LEBIODA: I believe we are going out to dinner, but I'll be dad tonight. So I have my little boy out here with us. So I'll be relaxing as dad tonight.
Q. How old is your son?
HANK LEBIODA: He'll be two in about a month.
Q. Has he been to Pebble Beach before?
HANK LEBIODA: No, this is his first time coming.
Q. Game plan going into tomorrow?
HANK LEBIODA: Have fun. Have fun. If it's blowing as it is right now it will be definitely a tough challenge playing Pebble Beach tomorrow. But I'm going to rest tonight, get my body ready and try to go out and do more of the same.
