Q. Great round. What was going right for you out there?
HARRY HALL: Kept it in play off the tee. Hit a lot of fairways. Hit a lot of greens. I didn't get off to the hottest of starts by parring two of the par-5s. But, yeah, the putter was hot today. Just made a few in a row. I think I had five birdies in a row out there. So that was cool.
Q. Going off of that, talk about your eagle on 16 and that birdie streak there on the front.
HARRY HALL: Yeah, the eagle on 16, hit a little driver off the tee and the hybrid in. Holed a 20-footer.
The birdie streak on the front was pretty cool because I think I went bogey and then had a par on the second hole and then had five in a row from 3 onwards. So it was really good.
Coming down the last two holes it started to blow 45 miles an hour. It was crazy. Happy to get in at 7-under today.
Q. You're just making your debut. Talk about what it's like to play some of these iconic courses. I know you have Pebble coming up tomorrow.
HARRY HALL: Yeah, Pebble tomorrow. That's one of my favorite places in the world to play golf. Lucky to have been here a couple of times. So Pebble tomorrow and Spyglass on Saturday. Yeah, looking forward to it. Got a great week in front of me. Dad's over from England and the whole family's here supporting me. Got a great partner in Kira Dixon. So we're going to have a lot of fun over the next few days. Yeah, really looking forward to it.
Q. Any changes to the game plan or anything in the coming days or kind of sticking to it?
HARRY HALL: Yeah, sticking to it. I'll have a game plan for every golf course and go about it. Just trying to be a little bit less serious compared to the last few weeks on the golf course. I think it's easy to try and be perfect out here. Tom my caddie and I decided to have a little bit of a different approach this week and hit more golf shots and being less analytical on every shot. So that really worked well today.
