Q. Good playing. 2-under. Difficult conditions. How would you assess your round today?
KURT KITAYAMA: Today was really tough. Started to really pick up on the back nine. But overall I'm really happy with where I'm at and how I played today.
Q. This is a place as we talked about on the way here you've had success at before. Do you feel comfortable around these three courses?
KURT KITAYAMA: Yeah, I grew up in northern California. So I got to play Spyglass quite a bit. Not so much here and Monterey. But I've seen it before and definitely feeling a lot more comfortable this time around. It's always nice playing here. It's nice being here.
Q. Looking ahead to Spyglass tomorrow, what's the game plan going into the third round?
KURT KITAYAMA: Just got to stay patient. I think the weather -- I'm not sure what the weather's going to be, but I know it's playing a lot tougher there than the other two courses. So I think just kind of staying patient all around and get my birdies where I can.
Q. Lastly, as we head into the weekend, looks like you're going to be in that top 3 or so going into the third round. Couple close calls you had last year. Getting up on the leaderboard on the weekend, do you feel more comfortable in that position?
KURT KITAYAMA: Yeah, I think so. I think the more you put yourself in that position the more you can get comfortable feeling uncomfortable, I guess. It's definitely good experiences to fall back on and use coming Sunday, hopefully.
