Q. 5-under 67 final round here at Pebble. Including three birdies in your last four holes. Just a great round. If we can get some comments.
KEVIN YU: Yeah, it was a really solid round. The last five holes, this morning no wind, perfect weather. Greens were playing pretty soft so you can be a little more aggressive. Then putting felt pretty good the last couple holes.
So, yeah, I was able to make some birdies coming back. So it was good.
Q. Your fourth start this season and your best finish. How happy are you about that?
KEVIN YU: Pretty happy. Secure some points, which is really helpful for me for the reshuffle. So just trying to play my best every single round. So I'm looking forward to the upcoming events.
Q. How much did you enjoy playing at Pebble Beach this week and what will you take away from the week?
KEVIN YU: Oh, it's awesome. This is by far my favorite course. I played here at the U.S. Amateur, U.S. Open. I always like to play out here. So it was great. This week, you have to really be patient out there. There's a lot of opportunities, but sometimes you miss some putts you feel like, oh -- you see some people making a lot of birdies, but you miss some putts so you feel like, Oh, I might be a little too far back.
But there's a lot of opportunities ahead of me, so just have to be patient and hopefully the last couple holes make some birdies coming back.
Q. You spent a bit of time back home during the winter break. What was it like to be home after the COVID challenges and how much did you grind to get ready for this season?
KEVIN YU: It was actually a lot better because we don't need to do quarantine anymore, which is really, really helpful. Because I don't have to spend like two weeks at home and not going outside. So it was great. A little time off. Went fishing with my friends. Just spent some time with my family which is great.
I think most important is taking some time off and get my body feeling great again so I can get ready to go this season. Which has helped me a lot. Yeah, it was a great time back home.
Q. Currently not in Phoenix or in Genesis. How much of a motivation is that to keep getting better to get into those events?
KEVIN YU: Not in right now. But the last couple holes, I mean, it helped my confidence too, helped my game too. Like, Oh, I can be up there. Hopefully get a spot. But I'm really looking forward to the upcoming events. Hopefully get a spot. But if not just try and do my best job and play my best golf out there, yeah.
