Quick Quotes - Round 3

Q. When you lose a stroke so late on 8, was it focus or your head?

PETER MALNATI: Nothing. It's just a hard hole. Like it's all good. Obviously I'm not trying to make bogeys. They're going to happen. Just go to the next hole and try to hit a good tee shot.

Q. And then was that very important to get par on the final and holed the lead?

PETER MALNATI: No, I don't even care about that either. I always want to do the best I can. So if I -- you know, I was hoping to make a 2 on the last hole, but it didn't happen. So then I was hoping to make a 3 and that didn't happen either. So I was really glad I made a 4 after that.

Q. What's your thoughts going into what's going to be obviously a bifurcated round. You're going to get some of the round done today and then you're going to have to wait and go tomorrow. What's that like on you guys? I know you do it all the time, but still it's got to be a pain.

PETER MALNATI: I don't typically do it in the final group or close to it like I'm going to this time. So it will be a little different for me. But, yeah, we do it all the time. Golf doesn't change any. Like it's one shot after the next. So I'm going to try to do that the best I can. I'm sure I'll be pretty hyped up and have a lot of energy and I'll be -- I know I'm going to be super excited because I'm super excited to play this golf course whether it's in the final round in the final group or in a practice round on a Wednesday morning, I get super excited. So I'll obviously have some good energy.

But the interruption to the round is part of what we do. So I'll just -- my mindset will certainly be just to go out and play golf when they tell me to and do my very best each time I get a chance to hit one. We'll see how it goes.

Q. Do you feel like you're a good mudder?

PETER MALNATI: A good mudder? I was a great mudder in high school, for sure. I've been spoiled by the PGA TOUR conditions. We play in pretty good weather for the most part. But, I don't know, I don't really worry about much when I'm out there. I just go along and I'll do my best. If it's crummy conditions I'll do my best with that. So I would say so, yes.

Q. You've seen the forecast for tomorrow. It looks like it's going to be nice. Is the course going to play differently?

PETER MALNATI: I don't think so. I think these rains have softened it up. So I think we'll end up seeing a lot of good shots tomorrow. A lot of birdie putts, some eagle putts. It will just come down to who rolls those in on this amazing place. So I think we'll see -- hopefully in the second half of the final round tomorrow we'll see less carnage and more good golf. I think that will be fun.
