Q. How about your play today, closing it out on 17 with a fantastic tee ball from 143.
MAX HOMA: Yeah, thanks. I played really well, didn't drop a shot. Just didn't want to give up a hole with worse than par, so I did that. Didn't make a lot of putts but just kind of played steady golf.
Q. How about the conditions today as far as this first-round match was concerned and building a foundation the rest of the way for you?
MAX HOMA: Yeah, it was good. It wasn't near as windy as it's been the last few days. It was a little bit tricky, it was moving around a little bit. But overall the golf course is in really good shape. The greens are quite reSeptember he have, so I felt like you could get after it a little bit. But it's a tricky little golf course. You get in some funky lies. Other than that, I thought it played fairly benign for this place, but the wind was a little bit tricky.
