Q. Corey, how would you characterize the match today?
COREY CONNERS: Obviously thrilled with the result. I got off to a really nice start, felt really good about my game. Did a lot of things well.
Nice to get the first match out of the way and be victorious.
Q. How big is that first win on the first day?
COREY CONNERS: Yeah, it's very important. Going to have a fighting chance over the next few days, and, yeah, definitely was ready to go today. Yeah, happy with how I played.
Q. What part of your game did you feel was the best today?
COREY CONNERS: Made some nice putts early. Felt like that was very key. But saying that, drove it great and hit a lot of good iron shots, so overall it was a pretty solid day.
Q. Do you feel like you put a lot of pressure on your opponents in match play with your ball-striking?
COREY CONNERS: Yeah, certainly I've found that through some experience in match play. Not the longest hitter, so typically hitting first approach shot into the green, I think it's definitely an advantage to add a little pressure to the opponent.
