Q. Seamus, great playing. What was working well for you today, especially around the greens?
SEAMUS POWER: Yeah, putter felt great, to be honest. Made a couple of changes in it in probably the last four or five weeks and today started to see it in Tour mode, which is always nice. Felt comfortable with the speed, and as soon as your speed is good you've got chances, and you feel like you can make a lot of stuff.
Long game was decent. Wasn't spectacular. A couple of looser ones here and there, but for the most part it was pretty steady and I was able to make enough putts.
Q. Looking at your record this season, seems like you're struggling to get off to a good start to start a tournament. What went well this week and did you feel a round like this coming?
SEAMUS POWER: Yeah, just getting the putter going. It makes such a difference. Even on 1, a couple of nice shots in there and being able to capitalize. I've been doing a lot of that recently where I'm hitting some good shots but not making them count, and then you make a mistake or two and then all of a sudden you're back to where you started.
It was nice to really make that one on 1 and get going and it just kind of fed into the rest of the day. It can happen like that; once you see one go in, all of a sudden things seem much easier.
Hopefully a good sign of things to come.
