Q. Through two days, John Smoltz, 37 points. Puts you in a solo fifth right now. Talk about how the course has been playing. Talk about how you've navigated the first two days.
JOHN SMOLTZ: I've absolutely played the worst I could play. So hopefully the best is to come. The greens have been in my head, as usual, but I'm going to try to figure out a way to make some putts tomorrow. So I rallied with some birdies, but you know what, the pin placements today were probably a little bit tougher. That's why I think the scoring is a little bit lower.
Q. What about the greens have been tricking you?
JOHN SMOLTZ: You've got to trust your reads, and I don't trust my reads. I trust my speed. I am under par on the front nine for two days and I'm over par on the back nine for two days, which is just stupid. I went double bogey, double bogey on 11 and 12, and that's just dumb. And I've got to eliminate that.
Q. Despite all of that, you're probably going to start tomorrow around 10 points behind the lead. Obviously you said you're not going to stop playing until you win. What do you gotta do tomorrow to possibly get back into contention?
JOHN SMOLTZ: I have to shoot lights out. I've got to shoot a 6-, 7-under and I've got a chance to do it. So we'll see.
