Quick Quotes

Q. Through two days, you've got 36 points. Talk to me about what you saw the first two days.

TONY ROMO: They've been good. I feel like I didn't putt very well today. I think the pacing of the greens, I hit it too far on each of the greens. But probably too many 3-putts. But ultimately, it's just going to be about getting on that little hot run on the nine-hole stretch, I guess.

Q. You mentioned it, the scoring today has been a lot trickier than yesterday. Why do you think that is?

TONY ROMO: It was tough. I mean, the conditions were tough. The pin positions were tough. It's not easy to get a ton of birdies today. I'm just disappointed on some of the 3-putts, you know, par-5 or -2, where you hit it in two and then you don't actually make birdie, is disappointing. But at the end of the day, you've just got to figure out the golf course as the week goes on.

Q. Then you're going to start tomorrow about 10 points back from the lead. What do you have to do on the front nine especially and maybe hole 1 to kind of get yourself back into contention?

TONY ROMO: I think you hit it on the head. I think the first hole I need to do a little better since I made double bogey and then bogey today. And made about 20-footer for bogey today on the first one.

Q. Fist pumped.

TONY ROMO: I needed it. I felt like it was like, yes, no double bogey. Just imagine if I made birdie there tomorrow.

For me, it's just about getting off to a good start. Because in the first four holes, you have opportunities. I mean, the first hole is tough. But you should have a wedge into the first hole and you should have a chance, but you've got to hit a really good first tee shot. It's important. If you get in the bunker, it's really difficult. If not, you can get yourself going in phase, and then from there 2's you have a wedge. 3, 4 are par-5s. That's going to be the thing. Whoever does the best in the first four holes tomorrow, probably.

Q. How does the body feel?

TONY ROMO: Body feels good. Can't complain. I wish I could actually have an excuse, but there's no excuse. It's just the golf.
