Q. Take me through your round today. Kind of an up-and-down front nine. Back nine got in the play, finished with two birdies. Talk about your round.
MARSHALL FAULK: Tried to get comfortable in the front nine. Started off, birdied one, and just hit some poor wedge shots. With these greens, you've got to be precise with your wedges, and on the front nine I wasn't. I just wasn't.
I just kind of got it dialed in, got my feel, and just started putting myself in position to score.
Q. How did the confidence come towards the back nine and kind of getting the feel of the round today?
MARSHALL FAULK: I was comfortable on the front nine. Like I wasn't hitting good enough wedge shots. When you have a wedge in your hand, you can't be thinking defense with a wedge in your hand. I wasn't putting myself in position to score, and it's like you have the conversation with yourself, what did you come here for?
I just kind of self-corrected and started giving myself chances to score.
Q. Talk about the atmosphere and the crowds out here today. We're day one and it's completely sold out today. Talk about the crowd and atmosphere out here today.
MARSHALL FAULK: It's awesome. I think when you mix the sporting world and the fans that are normally at baseball, basketball, hockey games, football games, you bring them on the golf course, that energy, it's awesome. I think what American Century, NBC, Harrah's, Caesars, what they do here with the entertainment aspect of it to not feel so stuffy, it's awesome. It's a great feel for us. We feed off the fans, the fans feed off us. And we just try to give them entertainment. Either make them laugh or make them clap.
Q. What are you going to be looking ahead to, what are you going to be working on as you head into tomorrow?
MARSHALL FAULK: Just hit better wedge shots. I managed my game well today. I put myself in position. The holes out here that I normally have trouble on, I hit the ball to my spot, and I play to the spots and I got off the hole with a par or bogey. I just didn't let those holes that normally bother me out here bother me.
