ALEX KILLORN: I had five birdies. I struck the ball like really well. My putting kind of let me down, but I was striking so well that it was a decent round. Hopefully I can figure out the greens a little better tomorrow. Haven't played them a ton.
Q. This is your first year here, first experience here. Tell me about the conditions of the course and how you're gaining favor on the course today.
ALEX KILLORN: They're great. A lot of the holes, you have to figure out if you're going to hit driver or not. If you do hit it well, you get rewarded for it. I like that part of the course. The green is in fabulous shape. Greens are fast. It's great.
Q. Your home club is Pelican Golf Club in Tampa. You're used to East Coast golf. Tell me about West Coast golf. Is it different?
ALEX KILLORN: It's a little different. The ball flies a little further out here. The greens, I'm trying to figure them out. When I moved to Florida, it took me forever to figure out the greens out. Hopefully I can figure these out the next couple days.
Q. Tell me about the crowds, the atmosphere out here today.
ALEX KILLORN: They've been awesome. The people have been great. This tournament is the most fun I've ever had. It's been great.
