Q. I know you joined the team kind of late in the season, but what was that process like for you just getting integrated and kind of plugging in with this group?
CHARLIE BROWN JR.: To be honest, it was so comfortable and easygoing for me. I've got great teammates, and they were just amazing with helping me understand the culture here and understanding some things that OKC as a whole just is used to.
It was comfortable.
Q. A guy in your position, it seems like one of your chief goals is to prove that you belong in the NBA. Do you feel like you got enough time to sort of make your case and show that you can play in this league?
CHARLIE BROWN JR.: Yeah, I feel as though I had plenty of opportunities and situations for me to show what I could do on the court, offensively and defensively. The coaching staff put me in wonderful positions to just bring the best out in myself, and my teammates, they always keep me up. They're always cheering me on, so I couldn't really ask for much more.
Q. I notice that even after the game last night, Game 72, last game of the season, you went back out there on to the court and got shots up. I was curious what your mindset was last night after the game, wanting to find more time to get better?
CHARLIE BROWN JR.: That's something that kind of got a habit of doing. My dad always told me, keep pushing. Whatever you do, keep pushing and never be satisfied. That's pretty much my mindset going into every situation and every game, every opportunity. That was a habit for me, so it was kind of natural.
Q. Was there anything that you were able to learn just with your time, the nine games you were able to play with the Thunder, anything that you were able to learn about yourself and what you want to focus on in the off-season?
CHARLIE BROWN JR.: Just how to be more of a professional. Sam and Coach Mark always like chirp into my ear about what a professional is and how they carry themselves. So I think for me doing more of something or doing less of something can benefit how far I go in this league. So I think in this off-season I'm going to just focus on the little things. So yeah.
