Q. You look like a different player physically. Is that a function of your knee being fully healthy, or is that a function of you hitting the weight room, getting stronger and faster?
VIT KREJCI: For sure the knee. Obviously I spent a lot of time during the summer getting the confidence back because after the season I had that little cleanup on the knee, and after that it was all about just getting the confidence back and the quickness back. I made sure that once the season started I'm confident with every single move I make, so it definitely feels really good.
Q. You played over the summer for the Czech Republic. Just walk us through the decision to do that. What do you hope you gain from that experience?
VIT KREJCI: Well, obviously we had a lot of quality guys on the team, so like I said before, my main goal for the summer was to gain the confidence back. Being on the court, we obviously played a lot of 5-on-5 because we didn't have much time to prepare, so we played a lot of 5-on-5. We played a lot of games. That was the main goal, to be on the court and get that confidence back.
Q. You guys have more guys under contract right now than you have roster spots. How does that impact the mentality or approach heading into training camp knowing that there's going to have to be some cuts along the way?
VIT KREJCI: Yeah, I don't think anybody is really thinking about it. We're just coming into the arena or into the practice facility and just work as hard as possible. Nobody is thinking about what's going to happen next week.
I think our main focus has got to be day-to-day, and then whatever happens happens.
Q. You were one of the few that got to play with the newest rookie class. What's your assessment of them so far?
VIT KREJCI: Yeah, it's awesome to play with these guys. Obviously everybody can do so much different things. Everybody is very versatile, and everybody wants to play on the team. It's been really fun. I didn't really have that much time, that much games, but I'm looking forward to getting to know them more and being on the court with those guys.
