Q. You talked last week about you had a new deal and working out in Miami and splitting time between there and OKC. Can you shed some light on what you did this summer?
TRE MANN: A little bit of the same thing, split time between Miami and OKC. I was a little bit more in Miami this time, though. Same workout schedule, same meal plan, everything, just more time in Miami.
Q. You had a lot of confidence coming off the summer. What's your mindset heading into this training camp?
TRE MANN: To just go out there and compete, try to show what I've been working on and try to find ways early to put my game into the offense as much as I can.
Q. Sam said that every time he looked out, you were at the facility working out this summer. You got to play some lead guard in summer league. Is that one of the things you wanted to work on? Talk about your whole summer, just summer league and workout schedule. What did you learn? What did you work on?
TRE MANN: That was one thing I was working on. That's one thing I want to focus on is just being poised, showing my playmaking ability. The other work is just reps, getting up shots.
A big thing for me is finding shots and hunting shots off of catch and shoot. That was one thing I did this summer as well, just trying to get as many catch and shoot shots as I could.
Q. Tre, Sam was saying that Jeremiah was also in the gym a lot. He grouped you two together. Was there some overlap there when you were in the gym with JRE? If so, what did you see him work on and get better at?
TRE MANN: Yeah, we were on different schedules. I would go every day at 5:30 or 6:00, and he would usually come in right after me.
But I saw him working on a lot of midrange, little touch around the basket. I really wasn't too much looking at what he was doing because I was working out. For the most part, I saw him doing a lot of midrange and just touch shots.
