Q. Drake or Kendrick?
JA'KOBE WALTER: I've got to go with Drake. OVO. OVO.
Q. You're not just saying that because you were drafted?
JA'KOBE WALTER: No, sir.
Q. Talk about going to Toronto, a place that is looking for a guard of your capabilities. Do you see yourself being able to play one, two and three with the team, with your defensive ability and offensive ability?
JA'KOBE WALTER: Yeah, I think the more I develop, I'll definitely be able to initiate offense at the one. Played two and three before. I think playing in the NBA, playing around in practice, I think I'll start to get used to it more, and then I think I can really take that role to the next level.
Q. Have you been to Toronto before and what do you know about the city?
JA'KOBE WALTER: I've never been to Toronto. I've never even been to Canada. But I know that it's a nice city in Canada, and all I really know is the building.
Q. I wanted to ask you about Baylor. So many guards coming out, a new batch every year. When you first went to Baylor, you talked about going there and making a stamp and being a part of Guard U. Talk about being the next person out of Baylor drafted as a guard, as well?
JA'KOBE WALTER: Yeah, the guards, we're a close group at Baylor. Every year, there's six guards. Y'all are competing against each other every day. Y'all are getting better watching a lot of film. We actually do call it Guard U.
Me being the next one out is a blessing from God. I'm just super grateful to be in this position and I hope that I'm going to represent Baylor well.
