Q. What a rally for you today. Tell me what was different between Thursday and Friday?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: About the only difference was probably the back nine. I didn't get off to a good start today either, but did a good job of fighting back. I made a good bogey there on 6, nice birdie on 7, good par on 9, and was able to get some momentum on the back.
Q. It looked like you hit some double crosses. Was that the case and how were you able to fix that off the tee?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Gosh, I don't know. Trying to think. Yesterday is hard to remember. It's hard enough to remember today. I felt like I definitely did some stuff better on the back nine, gave myself a lot of opportunities, and was able to hole a couple putts on the back.
Q. Talk to me about the putting, because at one point you were dead last in the field. You've had such a brilliant putting year, I don't think people appreciate your putting enough. Somewhere around 3rd on TOUR in strokes gained putting. Did you just get a better feel for the green, did you hit it closer, what was the difference in the putting?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yesterday I had a couple nasty lipouts and the greens were pretty chewed up late in the day. Today get out there a little earlier on fresh greens, see a couple go in early, and things just start to look a little simpler when there's not a lot of stuff in your way.
Q. You've absolutely injected yourself into this tournament with a great inward nine.
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: Yeah, I'm a ways back, but I'm not out of it by any means. I'll see what I can do going out early tomorrow and, yeah.
Q. (No Microphone.)
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I'm sure sometimes. Sometimes it's good, sometimes bad.
Q. (No Microphone.)
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: My memory is not that bad. I remember yesterday. (Laughing).
Q. How do you explain this trend where you do start off not as well and then you just come back like you do today? How do you explain that?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I don't really know. Yesterday I didn't get off to the start I wanted to. I played better today on the back. Today I didn't get off to that great of a start either, but played better on the back nine.
Q. We heard you were sick. Were you sick yesterday and are you fine now?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I wasn't feeling a hundred percent yesterday. I'll still not feeling a hundred percent today. So I'll go home, get some rest.
Q. What will you have to do the last couple rounds here to win this thing? You think you're right in it, don't you?
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER: I mean, I'm not where I would like to be. But, yeah, I had a good -- I'll probably have to have four nines like I did on the back nine today and that will give me a chance to win. So hopefully do more what did I on the back over the course of the next 36.
