Q. Sam, solid round today, right in the mix through two days. How would you assess the week as a whole and today's play?
SAM BURNS: Just couldn't really get much going again today. I haven't really made anything the last couple days. I think that's just kind of stalled me out a little bit. If I could get a little bit of momentum on the greens, could have posted a little bit of a better score today.
Q. How were the conditions this morning compared to yesterday afternoon?
SAM BURNS: Well, it was a lot colder. It was pretty chilly this morning. But pretty similar. We didn't have as much wind this morning. The golf course is in good condition.
Q. The unique ruling on No. 9, had that happened to you before?
SAM BURNS: Never, no. First time.
Q. It seemed like you knew immediately right away the rule?
SAM BURNS: Yeah. I think it's auto re-tee is what I've always heard, so that's what I did. I guess that's right.
Q. What's that feeling when that happens? It's got to be a weird feeling.
SAM BURNS: It would have felt better if I would have hit a bad one, but I hit a perfect one. Then I hit the next one in the left rough, so that kind of stunk, but it is what it is. I know they're there; there's always a possibility you can hit them, I guess.
Q. Anything you're going to try to hone in on this afternoon?
SAM BURNS: Yeah, I'm going to go spend some time on the putting green, see if I can find a little something.
