Q. Great playing today. How would you assess your round?
STEPHAN JAEGER: You know, right now, I just three-putted, so kind of left a sour taste in my mouth. But played solid. Every time I kind of made a mistake, I came back with a couple birdies, so that's always nice.
There was some cleanup. I think I left some shots out there for sure. But to be within reaching distance of the leaders through two days is always a good thing.
I'm excited what the weekend holds.
Q. You've obviously in your career been kind of up-and-down from the PGA TOUR and the Korn Ferry TOUR. What have you been learning last year bringing into this year? Is it more of a comfort factor with it?
STEPHAN JAEGER: Yeah, both. I think comfort and just knowing that I played well enough last year to keep my card, and I've always been somebody that kind of needs a couple years to get comfortable wherever, on any tour. I'm really excited about this year.
My golf game is kind of where I left it off last year, and I'm looking forward to a bunch of good events in the fall, and keep that going for the whole year for sure.
Q. How big a mental hurdle was it to be able to keep it for a second consecutive year?
STEPHAN JAEGER: Yeah, like you said, I went back and forth a couple times, and you kind of question, like hey, is my game good enough or does it compete out here. To prove to yourself in a sense that it is, even though I didn't really have a great year, I kind of finished the year strong. It was obviously a big confidence boost for me for sure.
Q. What's one thing that you want to improve upon a little bit going into the weekend to keep yourself in contention?
STEPHAN JAEGER: Yeah, I've made some longer putts, but I've missed quite a few short ones. They're kind of tricky to read. There's some grain on them and stuff. I think I've just got to give myself enough opportunities, hit it in the fairway, number one -- you're in the rough, you're kind of playing defense all around.
Yeah, just give myself a lot of looks and clean up some of the short putts, and I'll be just fine.
