Q. Davis, what was your assessment of the opening round today?
DAVIS RILEY: Yeah, got off to -- I wasn't driving it well early, then I started hitting it really well, probably the last like 12 holes, 12, 13 holes, and then just couldn't make anything.
Yeah, it was very close to being a good round, but thankfully I made an eagle there on that par-4, hit one in there pretty close off the tee, and made a birdie on 17. Yeah, kind of nice to finish on a decent note, but left a bunch out there, and yeah, just kind of a little bit of everything today.
Q. How frustrating is it when you feel like you're ready to play and the results don't come but then to get to finish it off like that must have been satisfying?
DAVIS RILEY: Yeah, exactly. I spent a couple weeks, this past week working hard on it, but everything is in the right direction, and I feel good about where things are at, and I just kind of had a few loose swings today and couldn't get the putter going, which was really frustrating. It was like when I had opportunities, I couldn't capitalize, and then I was paying the ultimate price for being a little off line.
Yeah, I feel good about my game, and hopefully have three more cracks at it, and there's a lot of golf ahead.
