Q. Nice playing so far. It felt like maybe frustrating progress, would that be a fair assessment, of how you saw the round today?
HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: No, there was, but I'm definitely satisfied with where I am.
Q. You made the putter change, we heard about it, seen it this week. How long does it take you until you feel fully comfortable with one?
HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: Might not be good to get used to it, so we'll see how that goes.
Q. What's the best thing you've done on the island this week off the golf course?
HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: Haven't done anything.
Q. Chick-fil-A in Maui or local food?
HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: Local food.
Q. You said that someone else was using the putter and you liked it. Who was it that was using it?
HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: Just somebody that nobody knows.
Q. What do you like about it?
HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: Because it's going in (smiling).
Q. Do you think you'll keep using it for awhile?
HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: I don't know.
Q. How many other putters do you have with you right now?
HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: I have four putters with me.
Q. What was the best part of your game today?
HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: It was tough to think back, but, you know, I was able to add on and play well and so just everything was okay.
Q. Why do you think you play so well in Hawaii?
HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: You know, obviously the views are beautiful here, I haven't played well here in awhile, so it's good to get off to a good start here.
Q. What do you think was different this week than the past few years here?
HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: I have no idea.
Q. How is your health, back and other injuries that you've dealt with?
HIDEKI MATSUYAMA: I just have to believe that I'm in good shape and ready to go, so that's where I'm at.
