Q. You turned 1-up through 9 and then get a little bit of a cushion with wins on 10 and 13 and from there you were able to close things out at the 17th.
COLLIN MORIKAWA: Yeah, it was a weird, weird day. I felt like I started off really well, made a birdie putt on 1, get the round started and get the match started, and then I just made so many unforced errors. Sometimes you just get lucky, and that's what's great about this format is you can make a bad score, get away with it and move on.
Q. You know this is not stroke play, right? It's match play; you can have an off day, have a great day and lose, have an off day and win. I think it's a great sign that maybe you didn't have your best stuff today and you still close it out and pick up the full point.
COLLIN MORIKAWA: Yeah over the past couple days warming up I was trying to wake myself up to be ready, and apparently I haven't yet. Hopefully today is a huge wake-up call because the way I played today I won't be getting out, so I'm very lucky today, and hopefully we can move on and start playing a little bit smarter golf.
