Q. You had to sink that birdie putt in order to win the match. How aggressive did you have to play today?
BROOKS KOEPKA: Pretty aggressive. He played pretty well. I thought our whole group played really solid. I had to play well, made a couple putts, which is kind of nice early and then kind of build some momentum. Yeah, really happy.
Q. What is it about the match play format that plays well into your game?
BROOKS KOEPKA: I love it. This is my favorite event of the year. So it switches it up for us a little bit and get to have some fun.
Q. Little bit of a strange match. From holes 7 through 11 you guys remained tied and then you take command of a match going 2-up with birdies at 12 and 13.
BROOKS KOEPKA: Yeah, tough holes and I hit a great chip there or a good pitch shot on 12 -- or good putt on 11 as well, I don't know how that missed.
13 hit a great pitch.
The wind direction the way it is you just got to kind of really think your way through it to have that ball finish right where you want it to.
Q. What's your philosophy on match play, do you play the opponent, do you play the golf course?
BROOKS KOEPKA: I think there's times of both. Depends what the guy does. If he rinses it then you're kind of playing him. But sometimes you just got to go out and do what you got to do. If you play good enough you should be able to win your match and that's what it comes down to.
