Q. Corey, how pleased are you to move to the next round?
COREY CONNERS: Yeah, I'm obviously really happy. I played really well the last couple days, and it was a hard-fought match today. Alex played really solid. We didn't really give each other anything, and I was fortunate to come out on top.
Q. What have you been pleased about so far this week? You had one off day with the conceded match with Paul. What have you been pleased with your game so far?
COREY CONNERS: Yeah, I feel like I'm striking the ball really well. I'm driving it as well as I ever have I feel like. That's a big bonus out here, getting it in good position, leaving myself chances to attack some of these holes and make some birdies.
Q. Does it matter who you play next round?
COREY CONNERS: It doesn't matter. I'm still going to have the same game plan, try and keep hitting the ball well. I've putted nicely, also, made some good putts when I needed to. Yeah, it doesn't matter. It'll be a hard-fought battle I'm sure.
Q. They say match play is a marathon and not a sprint. Is there anything you need to do to pace yourself as you go into the weekend?
COREY CONNERS: Yeah, definitely. I think I was fortunate to kind of have the first day off. It was tough to see Paul struggle with the injury, but I still was able to play a few holes. Felt like my energy level is still pretty high, and I'm excited for the next few rounds.
