Q. How would you characterize the match today?
ADRIAN MERONK: It was quite stressful. We both played quite good. In order to win the hole, had to hit some great shots, make birdies. It was quite enjoyable, and it was very close, but I really enjoyed it.
Q. When you guys were both playing well, does that kind of raise your game a little bit if your opponent is playing well? You go, I've got to go make some birdies?
ADRIAN MERONK: Yes, for sure. Like I said, in order to win the hole you need to hit good shots, make some putts. I knew Kurt is not going to give any holes away, so just focus on my game and focus on my strategy, and yeah, fortunately I came out on top.
Q. What was the best part of your game today?
ADRIAN MERONK: I holed a couple of good putts, but I would say my irons were quite solid. My distance control. Overall it was just good balance, so every part of the game was in game. A couple bad shots, bad decisions, but at the end of the day it was just a solid round of golf.
Q. How much match play experience do you have professionally or back when you were a amateur?
ADRIAN MERONK: Recently we played Hero Cup on the European Tour, so that was it. And before that, just some amateur stuff and play Palmer Cup over here in the U.S., as well.
