Q. You made a run of four straight birdies in the opening round, five straight birdies today to take control of the match and finish things off on the 15th hole.
TONY FINAU: Yeah, it was nice. I had a chance to close the match out yesterday and missed the putt, so I had another chance today and I was able to make it.
Apparently I learned something.
Q. You have made an awful lot of birdies. Any difference with the putter? Are you seeing the lines good, the speed is good?
TONY FINAU: I feel like I've been putting it good for a while. Not really anything different, just I think some weeks they fall, some weeks they don't. They're seeming to fall really this week.
Q. How many times have you made it to the round of 16 in this championship?
TONY FINAU: Yeah, zero. (Laughter).
Q. You've got a chance to change all that tomorrow.
TONY FINAU: That's right, that's the goal. So we'll move ahead to tomorrow, and we've got Kurt Kitayama who's playing great golf and I'm going to have to play well to beat him, so I'm looking forward to that match.
