Q. Beautiful, Matt. You played very nicely today. Seven birdies, one bogey. How do you feel about your playing?
MATT FITZPATRICK: Yeah, yeah, much better than yesterday. Yeah, just Billy noticed something in my swing on the range yesterday, and kind of sent it to my coach and said do this.
Yeah, today was much better.
Q. What was the game plan after you saw Min Woo hit his ball in the fairway on 13 with an iron. Then you hit driver over the green into the grandstands. Was that kind of the plan?
MATT FITZPATRICK: Yeah, me and Billy talked about it early in the week, if the wind is right just kind of get it up there. You know, it's a little bit silly that the grandstands are there, to be honest.
You know, it's kind of a bail-out. You can just smash it straight, get a free drop, and away you go.
That was the plan all long and it paid off tomorrow.
Q. You put yourself in position. You need to win tomorrow. A little bit of help from J.J. Spaun, but how do you feel moving in to playing with Sahith Theegala, and what do you have to do to come out on top?
MATT FITZPATRICK: Yeah, I think same again today. I've definitely got a good chance. Like you say, I need a little bit of help, but, you know, all I can do is go out there and control what I can and do as best as I can.
Q. Just a quick one. What did you find from the video you sent to coach?
MATT FITZPATRICK: I was kind of losing my height a little bit in my backswing, so when that happens I just need to stay more on my left side.
So, yeah, that was kind of all it was really with my irons.
Q. That the technologies, being able to send videos across the pond.
MATT FITZPATRICK: Yeah, exactly. Makes life a lot easier that's for sure.
